Event held to spread child abuse awareness

The Philadelphia Children’s Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing justice and healing to victims of child sexual abuse, recently hosted its fifth annual legislative breakfast.

Area legislators and representatives from the city Department of Human Services, Special Victim’s Unit and District Attorney’s Office helped to plant a pinwheel garden to increase awareness for Child Abuse Awareness Month in April. Each of the 1,892 pinwheels represented the 1,892 children PCA served last year.
